About Gratisware

Gratisware ( also known as Targit, FirstPop) is an adware implemented as Internet Explorer Browser Helper Object. This program opens advertisement popups when you are browsing with IE. The program may track the URL of each page currently being viewed and send it to its ad server to display large banner ads and popups. It may also record email address you entered when register this program for advertising purpose.

How to Remove Gratisware? 

Follow this steps to manually remove the Gratisware:

1. Unregsiter the Gratisware BHO. To do this, open a DOS command prompt window (Start->Run, type 'cmd' or 'command') and enter:
   
   cd "%WinDir%\System"
   regsvr32 /u CRS32.dll
   
2. Restart the computer.
3. Delete the files 'CRS32.DLL', 'CRS.EXE', 'CRS32.REG' and either 'CRS.OLD' or 'NEXT.DL_' from your System folder (inside the Windows folder, called 'System' on Windows 95/98/Me or 'System32' on Windows NT/2000/XP).
4. Open registry editor (Start > Run > Regedit) , delete the following registry key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Gratisware
   
5. Delete the Gratisware folder inside Program Files folder.
