Haldex is a dialer application that can be used to access pornographic services by dialing premium-rate numbers using a modem. It is commonly installed through web pages that invites the user to view pornographic pages.

How to Remove Haldex ? 

Follow these removal instructions to manually get rid of it from your computer:

1. Open the registry editor(click Start > Run, then type regedit and click OK)
   
2. Navigate to the key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
   
   In the right pane, delete the entry with the name sws.exe.
   
3. Navigate to the key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
   
   In the right pane, delete the entry HaldexLtd-od-stnd245
   
   Close registry editor.
   
4. Delete the following files:
   
   %Windows%\Wininit.ini
   
   Note: the %windows% is a variable, you should replace it with the winodws directory in your system, by default it is c:\windows or c:\winnt.
   
5. Delete the Haldex link on the Windows Start menu and desktop.
6. Reboot the computer.
7. Delete the folder C:\Program files\HaldexLtd.
