GSim is also known as
Inflow, distributed by SearchCentrix.com. GSim
is a
IE Browser Helper Object that hijacks Internet Explorer searches and settings.
It may also slow the performance of Internet Explorer.
How to Remove
GSim
?
Click Start > Settings > Control Panel, and then double click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
Search the entries called 'Toolbar', 'Search Utility', 'WinDirect' or 'eXpand Search', then click Delete or Remove, follow the on screen instructions to uninstall it from your computer.
Alternatively you can follow these removal instructions to manually get rid of it from your computer:
- Open the registry editor(click Start > Run, then type regedit and click OK)
- Delete the following keys if tey exist:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-DFF7-EC6BF4D5FA7D}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer\Browser Helper Objects \ {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-DFF7-EC6BF4D5FA7D}
Exit the registry editor.
- Restart your computer.
- Delete the following directory and its content:
%WinDir%\ gsim .dll
Note: %WinDir% is a variable. By default, this is C:\Windows (Windows 95/98/Me/XP) or C:\WINNT (Windows NT/2000).
- Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- In Internet Explorer, click Tools -> Internet Options, click the Programs tab -> Reset Web Settings.
