Remove Adware & Spyware
Adware is advertising supported software that displays advertisements on your computer in the forms of popup, pop-under, popup-baloon and/or message box. Spyware is software collects and sends information from the user's computer without their knowledge whenever the computer connects to the Internet. Usually the information sent is benign in nature, mostly concerned with general marketing information (ie., spending habits) rather than specific information like credit card numbers, although some programs are capable of retrieving specific information as well. Most adware displays advertisements targeted to your search keywords, your visited history or webpages being viewed, that is accomplished by collecting data from your computer and send them back to its controlling server. Therefore most kind of adware is also spyware.
The problem with Adware/Spyware lies in the fact that this information is transmitted without informed consent. Additionally, some programs are sometimes poorly written, containing bugs and causing the computer to malfunction. These programs does not respect your privacy. And many adware programs generates large amount of popup advertisements that are very annoying. If you are bothered with this, then removing them from your computer might be a consideration.
