About Adware Zlob

Zlob is an adware trojan that is installed silently and generates popup windows advertising various rogue antispyware. It also hijacks your computer and browser and displays false messages claiming that your system is infected by spyware.

How to Remove Zlob ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to manually remove this adware:

1. Reboot the computer to Safe Mode. (Press F8 before Windows starts).
2. Go to Start > Run, type 'regedit' and click OK to open Registry Editor.
3. Navigate to the key:
   'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\' .

   In the right pane, delete the entry named "RegSvr32" (which points to "msmsgs.exe".

4. Navigate to the key:
   'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon' .
   
   In the right pane, change the value of the entry "Shell" to "Explorer.exe"
   
5. Navigate to the key: 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ policies \ explorer \ run'
   
   In the right pane, delete the entry with the value "notepad.exe".
   
6. Find and delete the file msmsgs.exe from System32 or System directory.
7. Reboot the computer.
