About Adware WinFavorites

WinFavorites is an adware that delivers advertisements on your computer. It is composed of two parts: an IE Browser Helper Object and an executable file.

How to Remove WinFavorites ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to remove this spyware from your computer:

1. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit' to open the Registry Editor.
   
2. Navigate to the following key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
   Run.
   In the right pane find and delete the entry with the value 'ACONTI.EXE'.
   
3. In the right pane, delete the following entries( if present ):
   
   "mswpl"="<file name of adware>"
   "RunDLL"="rundll32.exe "C:\WINNT\System32\bridge.dll",Load"
   "Systray"="<the full path of the adware program>"
   
   
4. Open a DOS command prompt window ( Start > Run , type 'cmd' (on Windows NT/2000/XP ) or 'command' (on Windows 95/98/Me)) and enter the following commands,
   
   regsvr32 /u %WinDir%\System32\bridge.dll
   regsvr32 /u %WinDir%\System32\jao.dll
   
5. Reboot the computer.
   
6. Go to the System directory (C:\Windows\system32 (on Windows XP), C:\Winnt\System32 (on Windows 2000) or C:\Windows\System (on Windows 98/Me)), find and delete the following files:
   
   'bridge.dll', 'jao .dll', 'a.exe' ,'winfavorites .exe'
