About Adware TopMoxie

TopMoxie is an e-marketing software that pops up ads and coupons when you visit certain Web sites. The software periodically communicates with its controlling servers in order to update and monitor the Service.

How to Remove TopMoxie ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

You can uninstall the program by following the following steps:

1. Close all your open Internet Explorers.
2. Go to Start >Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
3. From the program list, select the folowing entries:
   Schoolcash or Technology4Kids, click Change/Remove to uninstall them.
4. Find the entry TopMoxie and uninstall it.

If the uninstall procedure fails, follow these removal steps to manually remove this adware from your computer:

1. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit' to open the Registry Editor.
2. Navigate to the following registry key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run
   
   In the right pane, delete the value named 'websearch' , if it exists.
   
3. Navigate to and delete the following registry keys:
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clsid\{05ce4481-8015-11d3-9811-c4da9f000000}
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\etraffic
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\internet explorer\menuext\grokster support
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\code store database\distribution units\{05ce4481-8015-11d3-9811-c4da9f000000}
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\websearch
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\grokstershop.xml HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\websearch_grock.xml
   
   Close Registry editor.
   
4. Open a DOS command prompt window ( Start > Run , type 'cmd' (on Windows NT/2000/XP ) or 'command' (on Windows 95/98/Me)) and enter the following commands,
   
   regsvr32 /u %WinDir%\system32\trk.dll
   
5. Delete the following directories (if exist):
   'C:\Program Files\ebatesmoemoneymaker',
   'C:\Program Files\topmoxie'.
