About Adware Slagent

Slagent is an adware that contacts its controlling server to display advertisements. The program is automatically run after installed and may update itself and download other adware without notifying computer user.

How to Remove Slagent ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to remove this adware from your computer:

1. Reboot your computer to Safe mode ( press F8 when Windows start ).
   
2. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit', and click Ok to open the Registry eidtor.
   
3. Navigate to the following key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
   
   In the right pane find and delete the entry with the value 'mslagent' that points to the file "%windir%\mslagent\mslagent.exe" or "%windir%\navpmc\navpmc.exe".
   
4. Navigate to the following key and repeat the deletion procedure in step 3:
   
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
   
5. Exit Registry Editor.
   
6. Open a DOS command prompt window ( Start > Run , type 'cmd' (on Windows NT/2000/XP ) or 'command' (on Windows 95/98/Me)) and enter the following commands to unregister the dll file,
   cd %WinDir%\mslagent
   regsvr32 /u 2_mslagent.dll
   cd %WinDir%\navmpc\
   regsvr32 /u 2_ navmpc.dll
   
7. Delete the folder "%WinDir%\mslagent" or "%WinDir%\navmpc" and all the contents in it.
   
8. Reboot the computer.
