SearchCentrix/Webalize is a browser hijacker. It changes your Internet Explorer search assistant to its controlling server searchcentrix.com so that all brower search requests are redirected to its server.

How to Remove SearchCentrix Webalize ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to manually remove this adware from your computer:

1. Close all open Windows Explorer or Internet EXplorer windows or reboot the computer to safe mode (click F8 when Windows start).
   
2. Open a DOS command prompt window ( Start > Run , type 'cmd' (on Windows NT/2000/XP ) or 'command' (on Windows 95/98/Me)) and enter the following commands,
   
   For Windows 2000\XP system ,
   cd %windir%\system32
   regsvr32 /u webalize.dll
   
   Or for Windows 98/Me,
   cd %windir%\system
   regsvr32 /u webalize.dll
   
3. Open Windows Explorer, search for and delete the following file from the folder "%WinDir%\System32" or "%WinDir%\System":
   " webalize.dll"
4. Search for and delete the folder 'webalize' and all the contents within it.
   
5. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options, select the Programs tab and then click on the "Reset Web Settings" to reset your Internet Explorer settings.
