SearchCentrix/Seek4Free is a browser hijacker that changes your Internet Explorer setting to point the start page and search assistant to its controlling server seek4free.com or searchcentrix.com.

How to Remove SearchCentrix Seek4Free ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to manually remove this adware from your computer:

1. Close all open Windows Explorer or Internet EXplorer windows or reboot the computer to safe mode (click F8 when Windows start).
   
2. Open a DOS command prompt window ( Start > Run , type 'cmd' (on Windows NT/2000/XP ) or 'command' (on Windows 95/98/Me)) and enter the following commands,
   
   For Windows 2000\XP system ,
   cd %windir%\system32
   regsvr32 /u somatic.dll
   
   Or for Windows 98/Me,
   cd %windir%\system
   regsvr32 /u somatic.dll
   
3. Open Windows Explorer, search for and delete the following file from the folder "%WinDir%\System32" or "%WinDir%\System":
   " somatic.dll"
   
4. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options, select the Programs tab and then click on the "Reset Web Settings" to reset your Internet Explorer settings.
