About Rogue Antispyware SaveKeeper

SaveKeeper is a rogue security program that generates pop-ups and fraudulent alerts to inform you that spyware or malware is found on your system and entice you to purchase their full version which claimed to be able to remove malware. This program can always come bundled with other malware that serve other purposes. It is strongly recommended that you delete this software and all other applications comes along with it.

How to Remove SaveKeeper ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

To manually remove this malware, please follow these instructions:

1. Reboot the computer to Safe mode (Press F8 key when Windows starts)
2. Open a Dos command prompt window ( from Start > Run, type 'cmd' and click OK ), enter the following commands to unregister the dll files:
   
   cd %WinDir%
   regsvr32 /u 10640haz9z5ol19f.dll
   del 10640haz9z5ol19f.dll
   
   Note that the file 10640haz9z5ol19f.dll is randomly named, it may vary on different systems. You should detect the right dll file in Windows directory and unregister them using the command above and replace the random name with the correct one
   
   
3. Open the Registry Editor (Click Start > Run, type 'regedit').
4. Navigate to and delete the following entry:
   
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SaveKeeper
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SaveKeeper
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SaveKeeper
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_SAVEKEEPERSVC
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SaveKeeperSvc
5. Navigate to the following key:
   
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run,
   
   In the right pane, find and delete the value "SaveKeeper".
   
6. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double click Internet Options, select the Programs tab, then click on the Reset Web Settings button to reset your Internet Explorer settings.
7. Open the Program Files folder, locate the folder SaveKeeper Software and delete all the content within it.
8. Delete all the menu links related to SaveKeeper in Start > Programs menu.
   
9. Reboot the computer.
