About Adware Safetyuptodate

Safetyuptodate is a variant of Zlob adware trojan. It hijacks your desktop and browser settings and generates popup windows advertising various rogue antispyware. This adware changes your browser home page to Safetyuptodate.com. It may also displays false messages claiming that your system is infected by spyware.

How to Remove Safetyuptodate ?

Remove this adware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to remove this adware from your computer:

1. Download SmitfraudFix and unzip it to a folder named SmitfraudFix.
2. Reboot the computer to Safe Mode. (Press F8 before Windows starts).
3. Go to the folder SmitfraudFix, double click the file smitfraudfix.cmd.
4. Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press Enter .
5. When it prompts "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry" , answer Yes by typing Y and hit Enter.
6. Reboot your computer.
7. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click Internet Options, click the Programs tab, click the Reset Web Settings button to reset your Internet Explorer settings. Reboot the computer.
8. Use your antispyware to scan thoroughly and clean up the files dropped by this trojan.
