About Adware SafeguardProtect

SafeguardProtect, also known as Veevo, is an adware and browser hijacker that is implemented as IE Browser Helper Object. It hijacks your browser home pages and displays popup advertisements.

How to Remove SafeguardProtect ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these steps to manually remove this adware from your computer.

1. Close all open Internet Explorer and Windows EXplorer windows.
2. Open a DOS command prompt window ( Start > Run , type 'cmd' (on Windows NT/2000/XP ) or 'command' (on Windows 95/98/Me)) and enter the following commands,
   
   For Windows 98/Me
   cd %WinDir%\system
   regsvr32 /u veevo.dll
   regsvr32 /u sfg.dll
   
   Or for Windows 2000/XP
   cd %WinDir%\system32
   regsvr32 /u veevo.dll
   regsvr32 /u sfg.dll
   
3. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit', and click Ok to open the Registry eidtor.
4. Navigate to the key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\' .

   In the right pane, delete the following entry:
   
   ' PCShield' = ' regsvr32 /s "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SFG.DLL"' .

5. Reboot the computer.
6. Delete the following files from the system directory:
   veevo.dll, sfg.dll
7. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options, select the Programs tab and then click on the "Reset Web Settings" to reset your Internet Explorer settings.
