About Spyware SafeSurfing

SafeSurfing is a spyware that hijacks your browser and monitors your surfing habits and contacts to its controlling server to display advertisements.

How to Remove SafeSurfing ?

Remove this adware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to manually remove this adware from your computer:

1. Reboot the computer to safe mode (click F8 when Windows start).
   
2. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit' to open the Registry Editor.
   
3. Navigate to the following registry key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run
   
   In the right pane, find and delete any entries with one of the following values:
   "irssyncd.exe", "netsync.exe" , "regsync.exe" ,"lanbrup.exe", "richup.exe"
   
4. Navigate to the following registry key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ SharedAccess \ Parameters \ FirewallPolicy \ StandardProfile \ AuthorizedApplications \ List
   
   In the right pane, find and delete any entries with one of the following values:
   "irssyncd.exe", "netsync.exe" , "regsync.exe" ,"lanbrup.exe", "richup.exe"
   
5. Exit Registry Editor.
6. Open a Dos command window (go to Start > Run, type 'cmd' ( for Windows XP/2000 ) or 'command '( for Windows 98/Me ) and click OK).
7. Enter the following commands:
   
   cd %WinDir%
   regsvr32 /u rsyncmon.dll
   cd %WinDir%\system32
   regsvr32 /u vbrundll.dll
   regsvr32 /u richedtr.dll
   regsvr32 /u COMMCOS2.DLL
   regsvr32 /u redtrsha.dll
   cd %programfiles%\SafeSurfing
   regsvr32 /u SafeSurfing.dll
   regsvr32 /u ssurf022.dll
   
8. Find and delete the following files from "%Windir%\System32" or "%WinDir%" directory (if exist):
   "irssyncd.exe", "netsync.exe" , "regsync.exe" , "lanbrup.exe", "richup.exe" , "rsyncmon.dll","vbrundll.dll" , "richedtr.dll", "wirelanb.dll"
9. Delete the folder "%programfiles%SafeSurfing" and all the contents within it.
10. Reboot the computer.
