About Spyware Roogoo

Roogoo is an adware that adds a Layered Service Provider module to your system. It monitors your Internet traffic and generates popup ads that are targeted to the keywords you input when using Google search pages.

How to Remove Roogoo ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to remove this adware from your computer:

1. Reboot your computer to safe mode (press F8 when Windows start).
2. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit', and click Ok to open the Registry editor.
   
3. Navigate to and delete the following keys:
   
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{18F57D30-EF36-4C0E-9343-7BFA6DF79B4A}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\{2805A558-1E98-48FB-8BA5-49A3AD78B129}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{57F7A59D-8F7F-41B2-98B8-A095456716E9}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Adplus.XLink
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Adplus.XLink.1
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Roogoo
   
4. Navigate to the subkey:
   
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones
   
   In the right pane, delete the value:
   
   "2102" = "0"
   
5. Exit Registry Editor.
   
6. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click Internet Options, click the Programs tab, click the Reset Web Settings button to reset your Internet Explorer settings.
   
7. Open Windows System32 folder, find and delete the file "msplus.dll".
8. Reinstall the TCP/IP protocols.
9. Reboot your computer.
