Roings is a browser-hijacker and adware implemented as Internet Explorer Browser Helper Object. The program monitors searches via search engines and contacts its controlling server (roings.com) to generate targeted advertisements.

How to Remove Roings ?

Follow these removal steps to remove this adware from your computer:

1. Reboot the computer to Safe Mode (Press F8 when Windows starts).
   
2. Open a Dos command prompt (from Start > Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt). Enter the following commands:
   
   For Windows 2000 or XP:
   
   cd %WinDir%\System32
   regsvr32 /u wat.dll
   del wat.dll
   
   Or for Windows 98/Me:
   
   cd %WinDir%\System
   regsvr32 /u wat.dll
   del wat.dll
   
3. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit' to open the Registry Editor.
4. Delete the following registry entries:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\roimoi
5. Reboot the computer.
