About Adware Prolivation.com

Prolivation.com is a browser hijacker. This spyware adds http://prolivation.com/cgi-bin/r.cgi? as the prefix for all the url of you entered into Internet Explorer browser. For an example, it changes the url www.msn.com to http://prolivation.com/cgi-bin/r.cgi?www.msn.com. Thus allows the site to monitor visited URLs and/or redirect the requests, add popups, etc.

Please fo llow these removal steps to remove this spyware from your computer:

1. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit', and click Ok to open the Registry eidtor.
   
2. Navigate to and expand the following key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL.
   
   In the left pane, click on the DefaultPrefix subkey. In the right pane double click on the entry named ( DEFAULT ), change the value to 'http://' and click OK.
   
   In the left pane, click on the Prefixes subkey. In the right pane, check all the entries to see if they are same as the values listed in the following table. If not, change them to the right values:

3. Exit Registry Editor.
   
4. Reboot the computer.
