About Adware Pop64

Pop64 is an adware that changes your Internet Explorer settings and generates porn related popup advertisements. When it is run, you will see a process named pop64 in Task List.

How to Remove Pop64 ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to remove this adware from your computer:

1. Reboot your computer to Safe Mode ( Press F8 key when Windows starts ).
2. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options, select the Security tab and then select the "Trusted Sites icon.
3. Click 'Sites' button. In the Web sites box, select and remove the following sites:
   
   *.media-motor.net
   *.popuppers.com
   *.elitemediagroup.net
4. Click OK button to save the changes.
   
5. Go to Internet Options, select the Programs tab and then click on the "Reset Web Settings" to reset your Internet Explorer settings.
6. Close Internet Options dialog.
   
7. Go to Start > Run, type %temp%, delete all the files in the new open folder.
   
8. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit', and click OK to open the Registry editor.
   
9. Navigate to the following key:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

   In the right pane find and delete the entry with the value 'C:\WINDOWS\sixtypopsix.exe'.

10. Reboot the computer.
    
11. Delete the file 'C:\WINDOWS\sixtypopsix.exe'.
