Fapi is an adware and spyware that redirects browser requests to its controlling server to generate and display targeted advertisements. This adware program is installed with freeware programs, such as "Free History Cleaner" and "Turbo Memory Charger."

How to Remove Fapi ?

To manually remove this adware, please follow these instructions:

1. Restart Windows to Safe mode ( Press F8 key when Windows starts).
2. Open the Regsitry Editor(Click Start > Run, type 'regedit' and click OK) .
   
3. Navigate to the key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\'.
   
   In the right pane, delete the entry with the value ' mapisvc32' .
   
4. Close Registry Editor.
   
5. Open Windows Explorer. Find and delete the file 'mapisvc32.exe' from System directory ( by default, this is C:\Windows\System in Windows 98/Me, C:\WINNT\System32 in Windows 2000/NT or C:\Windows\System32 in Windows XP).
