About Adware CWS Control

CWS.Control is a browser hijacker that redirects your browser requests to its controlling server ( www.search2004.net, www.windowws.cc and super-spider.com ). CWS.Control also replaces your control panel file (control.exe located at %Windir%) with its own file and may cause your control panel none working. CWS.Control is a variant of the browser hijaker CoolWebSearch.

How to Remove CWS Control ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to manually remove this adware from your computer:

1. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit' to open the Registry Editor.
   
2. Navigate to the following registry key:
   
   'HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run
   
   In the right pane, delete the value named 'Windows Control' that points to the file %WinDir%\control.exe.
   
3. Exit Registry Editor.
   
4. Go to Start> Run, type %WinDir% to open %Windir% directory in Windows Explorer, find and delete the file control.exe.
5. For Windows 98/Me users, you also need to recover your system using your Windows setup CD.
   
6. Open Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options to open the internet options dialog. Select the Programs tab and then click on the "Reset Web Settings" to reset your Internet Explorer settings.
