About Spyware BDHelper

BDHelper is a spyware that hijacks your IE browser searches. The spyware is implemented as an IE plugin. This spyware seems to be related to a Chinese based search engine Baidu.com.

How to Remove BDHelper ?

Remove this spyware automatically

To manually remove this adware, please follow these instructions:

1. Restart Windows to Safe mode ( Press F8 key when Windows starts).
2. Open the Regsitry Editor(Click Start > Run, type 'regedit' and click OK) .
   
3. Navigate to the key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\' .
   
   In the right pane, delete the entry with the value ' Rundll32 C:\WINNT\DOWNLO~1\BDPlugin.dll ' .
   
4. Navigate to the key :
   'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions\ACCESSIBILITY',
   
   In the right pane, delete the entry with the value ' BDSEARCH ' .
   
5. Navigate to and delete the following keys:
   
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ BDHlprObj.BDHlprObj
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ BDHlprObj.BDHlprObj.1
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ BDHook.BDSrchHook
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ BDHook.BDSrchHook.1
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ BDHook.URLBDHook
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ BDHook.URLBDHook.1
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ BDPlugins.Interceptor
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ BDPlugins.Interceptor.1
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{BC207F7D-3E63-4ACA-99B5-FB5F8428200C}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{CA92B524-BC8A-4610-BD2C-6BD3E28155D0}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{CE7C3CE2-4B15-11D1-ABED-709549C10000}
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CLASSES\CLSID\{BC207F7D-3E63-4ACA-99B5-FB5F8428200C}

6. Close Registry Editor.
   
7. Open Windows Explorer. Find and delete the following file from the Downloaded Files directory (By default, this is C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files).
   BDEX.DLL, BDPLUGIN.DLL, BDSRHOOK.DLL,BDHELPER.DLL, BDSEARCH.INF
