About Adware Aze Search Toolbar

Aze Search Toolbar, aka ZToolbar, is a browser hijacker spyware. This program adds a toolbar to your Internet Explorer, and will redirects all the google's domain (such as google.com, google.co.uk) to ip addresses of its controlling server. Hence all the searches performed under these domains have the actual search results supplanted with erroneous information.

How to Remove Aze Search Toolbar ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to remove this adware from your computer:

1. Reboot your computer to Safe mode ( press F8 when Windows start ).
2. Open a DOS command prompt window ( Start > Run , type 'cmd' (on Windows NT/2000/XP ) or 'command' (on Windows 95/98/Me)) and enter the following commands,
   

   cd %windir%\system32
   regsvr32 /u azesearch.dll
   regsvr32 /u azesearch2.dll
   regsvr32 /u iasad.dll

3. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit', and click Ok to open the Registry editor.
   
4. Navigate to the following key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
   In the right pane find and delete the entry with the value 'sbin'.
5. Search for and delete all the key with value "ztoolbar" and "azesearchco".
6. Navigate to and delete the following key:
   

   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clsid\ {a6790aa5-c6c7-4bcf-a46d-0fdac4ea90eb}
   
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clsid\ {d7bf3304-138b-4dd5-86ee-491bb6a2286c}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clsid\ {fff5092f-7172-4018-827b-fa5868fb0478}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\interface\ {6deee498-08cc-43f0-bca0-dbb5a25c9501}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\interface\ {dcfab192-4a0e-4720-8e24-70d5f0cb8c39}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\interface\ {f4394f24-163d-430b-b5af-b68b56031b99}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\typelib\ {84c94803-b5ec-4491-b2be-7b113e013b77}
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\code store database\distribution units\ {d7bf3304-138b-4dd5-86ee-491bb6a2286c}
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\curr entversion\explorer\browser helper objects\ {fff5092f-7172-4018-827b-fa5868fb0478}
   

7. Find and delete the following direcotries:
   favorites+\adult
   favorites+\gambling
8. Use NotePad to open the file named Hosts from directory "%WinDir%\system32\drivers\etc".
   
   If you are not familiar with DNS, delete all the lines within this file, save and close the file.
   
9. Reboot the computer.
