About Adware AdTools

AdTools, also known as Message Mates, Screen Mates, are a series of software programs that advertise for other companies. The programs usually show some animations on your desktop. By accessing your desktop, AdTools silently connects to its controlling server and deliver advertiser messages on your screen. It may drop the following files to your system:
'Ice Age.exe', '2 Fast 2 Furious.exe', 'Finding Nemo ScreenMate.exe'

To manually remove this adware, please follow these instructions:

1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, select the entry "AdTools", then click Add/Remove or Change/Remove to uninstall the program.
   
2. Open the Regsitry Editor (Click Start > Run, type 'regedit').
   
3. Delete The following keys and all the subkeys under it:
   
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AdTools
   
4. Close Registry Editor.
