About Adware AdTest

AdTest is a browser hijacker that resets your browser start page to a Chinese portal. The adware is run when Windows starts up and keeps resetting your Interenet Explorer settings so that the start page always points to its controlling server.

How to Remove AdTest ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to remove this spyware from your computer:

1. Reboot the computer to Safe Mode (Press F8 when Windows starts).
   
2. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit' to open the Registry Editor.
   
3. Navigate to the following registry key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run
   
   In the right pane, find and delete the entries with the value 'intnets' or 'sysinfer'.
   
4. Navigate to and delete the following registry key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\Load\intnets
   
5. Exit Registry Editor.
   
6. Go to Start > Run, type 'sysedit' to open the system confiuration editor. Activate the Windows titled WIN.INI' . Locate the section [Windows], serach for and delete the line "run = %Windir%\msfiles.exe" .
   
7. Delete the following files from the system directory. ( by default it is 'C:\Windows\System' for Windows 98/Me or 'C:\Windows\System32' for Windows Xp or 'C:\Winnt\System32' for Windows 2000/NT):
   
   'msfiles.exe', 'intnets.exe', 'scridows.exe','sysinfer.exe'.
   
8. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options, select the Programs tab and then click on the "Reset Web Settings" to reset your Internet Explorer settings.
   
9. Reboot the computer.
