About Adware AdRoar

AdRoar is an adware implemented as Internet Explorer BHO ( Browser Helper Objet). The adware may contact its controlling server ( iads.adroar.com ) and display popup ads when you are using Internet Explorer. In some verion, the program may displays these messages: "This module was compiled with a trial version of Delphi. The trial period has expired." . The adware may also automatically download and update itself.

How to Remove AdRoar ?

Remove this spyware automatically

To uninstall the program, click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs. Select the entry named 'CPR' or 'AdRoar', and click Add/Remove to uninstall it.

To manually remove this adware, please follow these instructions:

1. Unregister the dll files. To do this, open a Dos command prompt window(from Start > Programs > Accessory), enter the following commands:
   
   For Windows 2000/XP/NT,
   
   cd %WinDir%/System32
   regsvr32 /u Cpr.dll
   cd %WinDir%
   regsvr32 AdRoar.dll
   
   Or for Windows 98/Me,
   
   cd %WinDir%/System
   regsvr32 /u Cpr.dll
   cd %WinDir%
   regsvr32 AdRoar.dll
   
   
2. Open the Regsitry Editor (Click Start > Run, type 'regedit').
3. Navigate to the following entry:
   
   'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run'
   
   In the right pane, delete the entry with the name 'AdRoarUpdate' if it exists.
   
4. Delete The following keys if they exist:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {FAC6E0E1-5D45-4907-BC00-302D702DCC73}
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {BDF6CE3D-F5C5-4462-9814-3C8EAC330CA8}
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Browser Helper Objects \ {FAC6E0E1-5D45-4907-BC00-302D702DCC73}
   
5. Reboot the computer.
6. Start Windows Explorer, in the address bar enter %WinDir%. Delete the following files:
   
   ARUpdate.exe
   ADROAR.DLL
   cpruninst.exe
   
7. Go to the System folder( C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP)) and delete the following file:
   Cpr.dll
