About Adware AdBars

AdBars is a browser hijacker that is implemented as IE Browser Helper Object. It adds a toolbar to Internet Explorer and changes your browser homepage to its server(www.turbonXX.com or www.adbars.com). It also generates advertisement web pages.

How to Remove AdBars ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these steps to manually remove this adware from your computer.

1. Close all open Internet Explorer and Windows EXplorer windows.
2. Open a DOS command prompt window ( Start > Run , type 'cmd' (on Windows NT/2000/XP ) or 'command' (on Windows 95/98/Me)) and enter the following commands,
   
   For Windows 98/Me
   cd %WinDir%\system
   regsvr32 /u AdBar.dll
   regsvr32 /u ruboskizo21.dll
   
   Or for Windows 2000/XP
   cd %WinDir%\system32
   regsvr32 /u AdBar.dll
   regsvr32 /u ruboskizo21.dll
   
3. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit', and click Ok to open the Registry eidtor.
4. Search for and delete all the keys with the value 'ruboskizo'.
5. Navigate to and delete the following entry:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Code Store Database\Distribution Units\{51641EF3-8A7A-4D84-8659-B0911E947CC8}
6. Reboot the computer.
7. Delete the following files from the system directory:
   AdBar.dll, ruboskizo21.dll
8. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options, select the Programs tab and then click on the "Reset Web Settings" to reset your Internet Explorer settings.
