Ace Toolbar is an adware implemented as IE toolbar. It is installed by some third party application without user notice. It may monitor the keywords you entered in address bar and redirects your search to its controlling server. It is recommended that you remove this adware from your computer.

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.
To remove this adware, follow these steps:
- Reboot the computer to Safe Mode. (Press F8 before Windows starts). Close all open Internet Explorer windows.
- Open a Dos command window (go to Start > Run, type 'cmd' (for Windows XP/2000) or 'command' (for Windows 98/Me) and click OK). Enter the following commands:
cd %programfiles%\acetoolbar
regsvr32 /u acebar.dll
regsvr32 /u acebarext.dll
- Delete the folder "%programfiles%\acetoolbar" and all the contents within it.
- Find and delete the file 'atlapp.sys' from the folder of "%PROGRAMFILES%\ Internet Explorer\".
- Go to Start > Run, type 'regedit' and click OK to open Registry Editor.
- Navigate to the key ' HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run \ '.
In the right pane, find and delete the entry 'acebarupdate.exe' .
- Exit Registry Editor.
- Reboot the computer.
