About Adware 2Search

2Search is an adware implemented as Interent Explorer browser helper object. This adware hijacks your host file and redirecbrowser search requests to its controlling server.

How to Remove 2Search ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Use the following removal steps to remove this adware:

1. Close all open Internet Explorer.
   
2. Open a Dos command prompt window (from Start > Program > Accessories).
   
3. Type the following command:
   
   cd "C:\Program Filessearch"
   regsvr32 /u plugin.dll
   del plugin.dll
   
4. Click Start > Run, type 'regedit', and click Ok to open the Registry eidtor.
   
5. Navigate to the following key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
   
   In the right pane find and delete the entry with the value 'C:\Program Filessearch\svchost.exe'.
   
6. Navigate to the following key:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
   
   In the right pane find and delete the entry with the value 'C:\Program Filessearch\svchost.exe'.
   
7. Reboot the computer.
   
8. Delete the folder " C:\Program Filessearch" and all the content in the folder..
9. Open the Hosts file (it is in the fodler "%WinDir% \system32\drivers\etc").
10. Delete the following lines or something alike,
    
    69.20.16.183 auto.search.msn.com
    69.20.16.183 search.netscape.com
    69.20.16.183 ieautosearch
11. Save the Hosts file.
