SearchProtocolHost.exe is the Windows Search Protocol Host service. It is part of Windows Search component. The file is normally located in the folder of "C:\WINDOWS\system32". If you seldom use Windows Search function, you can disable Windows Search service from Services in control panel. Disabling Windows Search free some system resources and boost system performance. the drawback is that it will take more time to search something (but the search result will be more accurate). |
