File avserve2.exe is associated with the worm Sasser.B. This worm spreads itself by exploiting the Windows LSASS vulnerability which is described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-011
. The worm scans the network for vulnerable systems and and gain full control of affected systems by sending a specially crafted packet to produce a buffer overflow on LSASS.EXE. |
