adobearm.exe is an updater program for Adobe Acrobat Reader.
This program is used to automatically check, download and install updates. It resides in the folder of "%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\AdobeARM\1.0", where %ProgramFiles% is a variable which by default is "C:\Program Files". When the program adobearm.exe is installed on your computer, you also get an entry named "Adobe ARM" added to HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run in system registry so that it is automatically run when the system starts up. This program is non-essential for you to use any of Adobe application, since there is no need to update an application on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis. |
